Hey! My name is Tilman and I'm moving to Auckland.
I'm originally from Germany but have spent the last 12 months travelling — working in animal welfare in Greece and as a dive instructor in the Maldives.
I'll be starting work in June as an engineer in Penrose — full time during the week and some occasional travel for work.
I've been living in shared flats since I moved out of home — in Sydney, Berlin, and Hamburg — so I know how it works. I'm clean, tidy, and respect everyone's privacy. That said, I like the social side of flatting too — happy to sit down for a chat or a drink if the opportunity arises. I won't be in your face about it, but I don't disappear into my room either.
Weekends I'm usually out in the outdoors or exploring the city. Back in Berlin I used to host a monthly cooking dinner — inviting a few friends over to cook, eat, and play some games. I'll be new to Auckland so it'll take me a while to get there, but when I do plan anything like that I always check with flatmates first to make sure everyone's on board.
Cheers,
Tilman

Pretty easygoing overall, but I do value a flat where people respect each other's space and are still up for a bit of social life — keeps the spirit of the place going.
