I’m Michael, an accountant (CFO / Financial Controller level), no longer working full-time, might occasionally take on an interesting one-off contract to keep my eye in. Originally from the UK, I arrived in Auckland in 2004. I moved to Brisbane at the end of 2024 and have spent the last 15 months there living close to my son (he moved here three years ago), but am now heading back to Auckland – I play club tennis and am taking up golf again, and the facilities in Auckland are better. As well as sports, I enjoy cooking - for myself, or a communal dinner at the weekend - and socialising around the dinner table over a glass of wine. I have no special dietary requirements. I enjoy living with all sorts of people – provided they’re tidy, open-minded and respectful of communal spaces.
