Hi! My name is Konrad. I’m currently in Sydney for a doctoral research visit, and I’m transferring to AUT on 15 March for another research visit until 3 May. I’m a PhD candidate and researcher at WU Vienna (Vienna University of Economics and Business). Before my PhD, I worked for two years in strategy consulting at Bain. I’m a quiet, respectful tenant and a non-smoker. I’ll work largely from AUT where I’ll have my own office (roughly 8am–5pm). Outside of work I’m usually outdoors, doing sports and exploring Auckland. I’m looking for a room and would like to move in around 15 March until around 3 May (with a bit of flexibility). I’m flexible with inspection times and can attend viewings on short notice. At the moment I’m still in Sydney, so I can only do viewings via video call unfortunately. I also have extensive experience living in shared apartments. During my student years and later while working in Munich, I lived in a shared flat for five years (first with two flatmates, later with one). In Vienna, I lived with three flatmates for over a year, and here in Sydney I’m also living with flatmates, we’ve had (and are still having) a great time together. I’m used to living considerately with others, keeping common areas tidy, and being mindful of noise and routines. In terms of affordability: the rent will be reimbursed by my university, and I also have sufficient income and savings to comfortably cover the costs. If needed, I’m happy to provide a guarantor. If you have any questions about me, please feel free to ask. Thank you very much, and I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Konrad

No special preferences! Mostly just looking for good vibes and a genuinely nice person. I’m keen to have a friendly place where we’ll hang out from time to time (a chat in the kitchen, a shared meal occasionally), but there’s no pressure to be best mates or socialise constantly. I’m pretty easy-going and tend to get along with almost everyone.
