Hello! I am looking for someone to sublet my cozy, sun-drenched room in Kingsland whilst I do a semester abroad in Australia.
The house is perfectly located within the heart of Kingsland, 5 minutes walk to the train station, and less than a minutes walk to the bus stop. This is a great location for someone who is studying at UoA or AUT, or is working in the city.
You would be living with 3 others, all in their mid twenties, doing a mixture of post-grad study and full time work. They are all social, creative, friendly and warm (and funny), and you will be absolutely blessed to love with them!
I intend on being gone from late June, ideally until early February, and am looking for someone who is keen to commit to the room for the entire length.
Please feel free to get in touch if this sounds like something you would like!
No couples or pets sorry! And we would prefer a girl to keep the gender balance :)
This is a beautiful, old house with plenty of charm. Hard wood floors, high ceilings, a large living room that is perfect for movie nights, and a quaint back garden, perfect for summer BBQs!
The house is made of brick, which is great for retaining heat during winter time, and keeping it cooler in the summer. Our property manager is active and responsive, and we have a fortnightly gardener come by to mow the lawns which is included in the rent!
Despite there only being one bathroom, we make it work easily -- I never find myself waiting for long.
Kingsland is a lovely, vibrant place to live, with plenty of cute cafes and bars basically right on our doorstep.
I feel like it is often overlooked when people are searching for places to live in Auckland, but it is literally close to everything, with good public transport options that can get you to places like Ponsonby, the CBD, Krd, Mt Eden, and Wynyard Quarter quickly.
It is a god place to live if you don't have a car (like me!), but there is also free on street parking if you do have a car.
