This is a rare opportunity to live in a true Mount Maunganui beachfront house. We’re a friendly, open-minded and easy-going couple in our late 30’s and 40’s, from Germany and Brazil. We’ve been living in NZ for 10 and 20 years and are integrated in the local community. We’ve moved into a huge beachfront house recently and are looking to share it with the right people. It’s a rare opportunity to live in a home like this, in one of the area’s most sought-after locations. It’s in front of a popular beach access and around the corner from one of the coolest cafés in the Mount, Special Mention. We have two rooms available, and are open to either living with another couple who rents both rooms (one as a bedroom, and one as an office or private living room with ocean view). Or two singles who rent one room each. If you’re in a position to rent both rooms as a single (maybe you’re a professional working from home, a doctor, or simply someone who prefers having two rooms to live comfortably), that’s obviously an option too. Depending on the setup and number of people, the rent cost will change. $350 excl. bills for one room as a single, or $650 for both rooms if you require them. We can talk about the cost. The rooms can come furnished, or unfurnished. There are two separate toilets, and one bathroom with shower. We are separate from these bedrooms and have a master bedroom with our own ensuite shower/toilet. The house feels spread out due to its size and everyone finds their privacy. The location is incredible and makes you feel like living in a holiday home. The deck with ocean views is huge, there’s an outdoor shower, and also an upstairs balcony with an amazing view to unwind. We’re house-proud and love some nice interior, making the house feel beautiful to live in. We’re open towards either short-term flatmates until 20th December, or long-term flatmates who we can trust as people and with our belongings. FYI - the cat on the photo doesn’t live here anymore.
