Move-In Today

1 DOUBLE ROOM AVAILABLE. Available 06 April 2026 - flexible move-in date, so please get in touch. FURNISHED DOUBLE BEDROOM, approx. 4.2 x 3 metres, with large built-in wardrobe. Note: The rooms are quite a bit bigger than they appear in the photos. Surrounded by trees (every room has a good view!). Beautiful all year round. RENT: 380/wk, all inclusive (Internet, electricity, water) Furnishings include double bed, desk, chair, bedside table, lamp(s), bookshelves, etc., and a double built-in wardrobe that's quite large. Also comes with clean, basic bedding (100% cotton sheets, wool duvet with cover, throw cover, pillows, towels, etc.). My current flatmate who's moving out is international, so the room's set up for everything you need when you arrive (great for out-of-towners)--but of course you're welcome to bring your own. The windows are pretty big, open wide, and look out onto the trees and park, which is lovely. There's lots of birdsong and the room gets plenty of natural light. ----- Preferred flatmate Looking for a responsible, respectful person who will treat the place like a home. Independent, but ideally also community-minded and happy to contribute to the flat.

I'm a music teacher and postgraduate student at the University of Auckland, finishing my Master’s in 2026. I'm majoring in Music Composition, focusing on bioacoustics and climate change, and I work in arts and alternative education. I’m a homebody, so the place is inviting and well looked-after. I’m not a partier or drinker, though I am up for a good games or movie night. Also happy to go on outings or show around the city, and happy to share meals, too (though not a must). I'm from overseas originally (Canada), but have been more-or-less based in NZ since 2008. Part of my family's German, and I speak English, German, and Swedish. Looking for a renter who is tidy and respectful, happy to have a cosy home in CBD. Internationals welcome! (PS: I also make Sunday waffles!)

Beautiful Emily Place apartment in Brooklyn Apartments: an historic heritage-listed apartment building from the 1920s. Note: The rooms are quite a bit bigger than they appear in the photos. Surrounded by trees (every room has a good view!). Beautiful all year round. APARTMENT: - Beautiful historic building - Gorgeous view onto Emily Park, lots of sky, trees, birdsong–the best place to be close to nature in the city! - Very spacious for CBD living - Corner northwestern apartment, big windows–LOTS OF SUN - DRY AND WARM, even in winter! - FULLY FURNISHED - Fully-equipped kitchen, including a NutriBullet and waffle iron - LOTS OF STORAGE for a city apartment, both in bedrooms and common areas - PRIVATE COURTYARD with picnic table out back - RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMITS AVAILABLE - a rare find in the CBD! - BICYCLE STORAGE AVAILABLE ON REQUEST The apartment has heating (though we rarely need it), but no air conditioning. It's well-ventilated and we use fans during the summer to keep it cool. The apartment also has its own washer/dryer. The dryer works, but can't handle a super heavy load; however, the building has a separate washroom with large machines which you're welcome to use.

Neighborhood & Community

Equidistant 5-minute walk to University of Auckland and Britomart/Waitematā train station. Walking distance (10min) to AUT, supermarket, cafes, museums, art gallery, etc; 15-minute walk to Town Hall and Aotea Centre. I find the area quite safe for centre-city, since a lot of the surroundings are business/residential. The building is also very secure, with good security measures in place.
